Join us for a discussion on Resilience and Leadership as you navigate entrepreneurship and business ownership. \n\n\n\nAbout the Speaker: Ted Paulsen\, CEO\, VEST EAP\n\nLooking straight down\, clinging to a single pine tree growing out of a crack in the red rock to a small pond 300 feet down that looks like postage stamp\, I am exhausted\, hungry\, and dehydrated from adventure that started 13 hours earlier. My hands are clammy\, my pulse \n\nelevated. "What in the world am I doing here and how did I get myself into this predicament?"\n\nSound familiar? If so\, hello fellow entrepreneur and business owner!\n\nMy Hero's Journey started with a plunge into a collegiate pool at BYU to support my pursuit of an accounting degree followed by a move up North to the University of Utah for a law degree.  After working in Southern California\, I found my way back home to Utah helping structure and fund client businesses as a securities attorney before taking a position as the COO of growing national insurance company.\n\nI currently serve as the CEO of Lecticon and VEST EAP where we provide clients with comprehensive cultural enhancement and employee retention solutions. We are fortunate to work with clients including Salt Lake County\, Larry Miller Group\, AAA Insurance\, Safety National Insurance\, and many first responder agencies\, among many others.\n\nAlong the way I became a professional speaker\, certified Scaling Up leadership coach\, and\, most importantly\, a husband\, father\, and grandfather of almost 13.  Ask me to hike\, mountain bike\, swim\, fly fish\, or golf and I'm in. Which leads me back to a 300 foot cliff and a strand of dental floss.
