\nAbout Our Speaker:
\nCierra Clayson\, Brand Manager\, Minky Couture
\nCierra was born and raised in Corona\, California and grew up going to the beach and Disneyland. She loved theater and making people laugh. She attended BYU-Idaho\, along with her siblings and found her passion in Communications. While attending BYU-I\, she co founded the Presentation Center\, where she assisted students in public speaking and creating impactful presentations. In 2009\, Cierra earned a Bachelor'\;s degree in Communications- with an emphasis in marketing and public relations. She was awarded with the Newel K. Whitney Scholar Award\, identifying her as one of the most employable quality graduates in her class.
\nAfter she graduated\, she received a job offer from Franklin Covey to do business development. She worked there for almost four years engaging with clients\, creating communication strategies\, and maintaining their social media platforms \;for leadership developments courses. Once Cierra started to have children\, she decided to focus on her family and took a break from the corporate world.
\nIn 2022\, Cierra needed to re-enter the workforce. Sandi Hendry\, owner/founder of Minky Couture offered her a position to do public relations and marketing. After one year with Minky\, Sandi made Cierra the official Brand Manager of the amazingly successful blanket company. Since working for Minky Couture\, Cierra has created and managed partnerships with major universities in Utah\, including BYU\, and UVU. She also partnered with several local Chambers of Commerce to maintain community relationships and help collaborate with many local non-profits\, including Saprea and the Malouf Foundation. Cierra helped train and manage their marketing team and helped increase Minky&rsquo\;s corporate sales with marketing efforts by 390% last fiscal year. Her passion for increasing brand awareness led Minky Couture to partner with the NBA All-Star events\, Good Morning America\, Paramount Pictures\, the Today Show\, and more! Cierra was recently recognized as one of the 40 Under 40 in Utah Valley BusinessQ Magazine- highlighting her impact in the Utah Valley business scene. She is excited to continue to move Minky forward and is thrilled to be a part of the best company ever!
