Join the Small Business Administration Utah District Office, Resources Partners, lenders and sponsors as we celebrate the success of the NSBW Utah Small Business Person of the Year, Paul Merrill, CEO, Fat Boy Ice Cream, from Logan Utah. This annual award from the U.S. Small Business Administration recognizes the hard work, challenges, innovation, and community investment that is required of America’s most successful small business men and women. Other awardees to be honored as well. Heavy Hors D’oeuvres, 4:30 to 6:30.

• Family Owned Small Business of the Year -- Dr. Eric Chenworth, Wasatch Allergy and Asthma, Salt Lake City, Utah
• High-Tech Small Business of the Year -- John Spuhler, Owner & CEO, STR Helper, Garden City, Utah
• Community-Minded Small Business of the Year -- Kristine R. Rudarmel, President, Anchor Water Damage and Restoration, South Jordan, Utah
• Community-Revitalizing Small Business of the Year -- Nashelle Jackson, Executive Director, Vernal Theatre: LIVE, Vernal, Utah
• Phoenix Award -- Justin Needles Carbon County Emergency Manager, Price, Utah
• SBDC Team Member of the Year -- Jeff Mather

Each year since 1963, the president has issued a proclamation calling for the celebration of National Small Business Week. National Small Business Week is set as the first week in May, and this year the dates are April 29 - May 5, with national events planned in Washington, D.C.
