The American West Chamber Singers are excited to present their Fall Concert entitled Poetry in Music. We will perform a rich variety of poetry-inspired music by some of the best known American choral music composers, including Randall Thompson, Morten Lauridsen and Eric Whittaker. We will also feature rousing renditions of several classic spirituals arranged by Moses Hogan and more... There will be two performances on October 28 (Friday) at 7:30 pm and October 29 (Saturday) at 5:00 pm at the Community of Grace Presbyterian Church at 2015 E. Newcastle Drive in Sandy. Tickets are at the door: $10, $8 (students), $5 (youth, 7-15 years old). The American West Chamber Singers is a Sandy City-sponsored auditioned choir of approximately 30 dedicated volunteers. The performances will be under the baton of Tyler Kofoed, the Director of The Chamber Singers and the Chorus Master of the American West Symphony Chorus, with Donna Johnson as the accompanist.
