Light Up the Cairns and Holiday Shop & Stroll
Kick off the holiday season with Sandy City by celebrating the switching on of the holJoin us for an evening of holiday lights, local shopping, and community fun!
Date: Thursday, December 3
Time: 5–7:30 p.m.
Location: City Hall South Courtyard, 10000 S. Centennial Parkway
5:30 p.m. – Holiday lights switch on & Santa's arrival.
5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. – Choirs, Holiday Sandy Shop & Stroll, Food Trucks, Elf Scavenger Hut, Free Hot Cocoa, and more!
Please use public parking in the vicinity of Sandy City Hall.
Join Santa Claus and Mayor Monica Zoltanski for the official lighting ceremony as we transform City Hall into a magical winter wonderland.
Enjoy performances by the Hale Center Broadway Stars and Ovation group. Follow the clues on an elf scavenger hunt, shop local vendors, grab a bite from the food trucks, and warm up with complimentary hot cocoa. Bundle up, bring your family and friends, and help us kick off the holidays in Sandy City!

We’re thrilled to host the annual Light up the Cairns event on Thursday, December 3 from 5 - 7:30 p.m.! Before applying, please ensure you meet the following requirements. If you are unable to comply, please do not submit an application.
Event Requirements:
Vendor Setup: Bring your own pop-up tent, tables, chairs, and signage, as these will not be provided. Tents are mandatory for participation. (White or branded tents are preferred.)
Power Access: A 50-75 ft extension cord is required to reach the available power sources. Vendors without a sufficient cord may not be able to access power.
Outdoor Heating: This is a cold outdoor market. Electric heaters are NOT permitted to prevent power disruptions. Propane heaters are allowed.
Fee and Payment Confirmation: Accepted applicants will receive a confirmation email with payment instructions. The vendor fee is $25.
