This year\, the run is raising needed funds for our Mammography Screening Fund as part of the Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce\, Cancer Prevention Foundation. This Mammography Screening Fund provides free mammogram screenings to under-served women in Utah. Early detection remains the key to saving lives.\n\n\n\nThe event details:\n\nWhat: Utah Women's Run\n\nWho: Women only are allowed to run\n\nWhen: September 28   8am start time\n\nWhere: Alta Canyon Sports Center (Highland Dr. just south of 9800 south)\n\nCourse options: 5k and 15k (actually 8.8 miles)\n\nCost: 5K - $30 and the 15K - $45.\n\nSpecial Discount   Thanks to Scheels for a special promotion code. When you sign up through September 15\, you can save $5. \n\nAll runners who register before September 10 will receive a technical tee shirt\, runner/finisher necklace charm\, and other great swag from partners.\n\n\n\nThe Utah Women's Run is to encourage women to live an active healthy lifestyle as much as it is for raising funds for cancer screening. The goal is to help women of all ages commit to frequent exercise showing their family and friends by example. It is designed for moms\, daughters\, sisters and friends to have a good time\, for a good cause.
