Business Networking- Hiring Refugees

Each year, on June 20th, the world celebrates refugees in our communities and abroad with World Refugee Day. The State of Utah participates in the festivities by hosting a day long refugee festival (this year on June 22nd at Liberty Park in Salt Lake) and asks that each refugee agency in the state host their own event during the month to provide greater awareness of the plight of refugees in our community. This year, Catholic Community Services of Utah?s Refugee Resettlement Director, Aden Batar, has decided to focus on refugee job development. In doing so we hope to educate businesses on the benefits, challenges and solutions to hiring refugees, while also providing an opportunity to network with other businesses. The Business Networking- Hiring Refugees event will take place on Thursday, June 20th from 4:30-6:00 pm. Afterwards, there will be refreshments and time to network with our job developers and local businesses
