In today's ever changing, fast-paced world we find ourselves having to pivot, take risks, and juggle more. These are all things that can trigger fear and anxiety and ultimately hold us back both personally and professionally. Tamara Zander, a successful real estate entrepreneur and civic leader will share how she has and continues to navigate these challenges while leaving the fear behind!
About Our Speaker:
Tamara Zander is a seasoned professional known for her versatile roles as a successful real estate entrepreneur and dedicated civic leader. With a career spanning over a decade in the real estate industry, Tamara co-owns Zander Real Estate with her husband Corey, a brokerage based in Daybreak, and serves as the lead listing agent. Since 2011, she has facilitated many successful transactions, earning her a place among the top 1% of elite real estate agents in the Salt Lake Valley.
In addition to her thriving real estate career, Tamara is a respected community advocate and public servant. Currently serving her third term as a South Jordan City Council Member, she brings a unique perspective shaped by her entrepreneurial endeavors and dedication to promoting a vibrant local economy. Tamara advocates for initiatives aimed at supporting local businesses and enhancing the overall quality of life for residents. Her belief in collaboration and shared vision motivates her to drive positive change and growth in the Salt Lake Valley
Tamara's passion for community extends beyond her role in government. She played a pivotal role in the establishment of Early Light Academy Charter School, recognizing the need for quality education options in her community. Her collaborative efforts with key stakeholders resulted in the acquisition of land for the school, further showcasing her dedication to education and community progress.
Tamara also serves as a Realtor® trustee for Salt Lake County's largest political action committee, the Realtor® PAC. She oversees and votes on distributing funds to pro-housing candidates for local offices or the County Council. These candidates support zoning favorable to homeownership. To date, the trustees have allocated millions and achieved an over 90% election success rate, with Tamara playing a key role in candidate interviews and fund allocation.
A lifelong advocate for health and wellness, Tamara shares her passion for fitness by teaching water aerobics at the South Jordan Fitness & Aquatic Center. She holds a deep appreciation for education, having pursued studies at Ricks College, BYU Provo, and BYU Jerusalem Study Abroad. Fluent in Spanish, Tamara's cultural experiences extend to her missionary service in Lima, Peru, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Tamara embraces an active lifestyle, enjoying pedal boarding on Oquirrh Lake, playing pickleball, exploring trails on their e-bikes, and immersing herself in diverse cultures through travel. Family holds a special place in her life, and she cherishes moments spent with her husband, their four children, three daughters-in-law, and two grandsons.
As a dedicated advocate for business and community, Tamara also serves as a board member of the South Valley Chamber of Commerce, leveraging her expertise and insights to pursue economic growth and innovation in the area.
