THRIVING IN LIFE:
“3 ‘p’s of personal progression
Just let go…
Chris has experienced some of the greatest personal hardships anyone can face, and yet rather than letting those past events define him, he has just let go and moved forward, embracing opportunities for tremendous personal growth, change and constant reinvention.· As a 16 year old boy, Chris was driving to work at a local hospital when a 4 year old boy ran between parked cars and was hit and killed by Chris’ car. Such a devastating accident became an opportunity for Chris to discover and develop his dormant talents
· In 2001 during the dot-com bust, Chris used several months of unemployment to let go of fear and pursue his entrepreneurial skills, launch a successful startup.
On a cold February night in 2007 when his wife and two children were killed in a drunk-driving accident, Chris made the most important decision of his life. As Chris and a seventeen-year-old drunk driver both received life sentences, in one violent, devastating instant, both faced a drastically different and uncertain future. But as Chris sat in his demolished vehicle, staring at the car that had just caused the death of his wife, his unborn baby, his nine-year-old daughter, and his eleven-year-old son, he committed to do something extraordinary: he would forgive.
Chris’ life story of change, tenacity, forgiveness and continuous personal development is an empowering invitation to all who have struggled with unmet goals or dreams, or who have suffered, however unjustly, to discover their greatest potential, lay down their burdens and Just Let Go...
