Keynote Speaker:
David Bradford - "Six Ways to create a Multi-Million dollar company in Utah."
David Bradford is Executive Chairman of the VIEW- Virtual Immersive Educational Worlds and a member of the Utah Technology Hall of Fame. He is known as the Human Internet and has published a new book that hit two Amazon best seller lists - "UP Your Game - 6 Timeless Principles for Networking Your Way to the Top. Mr Bradford's last two companies where he served as CEO – Fusion-io and HireVue - were rated #1 and #2 by Fortune magazine among the fastest growing Utah companies. He and his PhD wife are now changing the world of language learning with a 3D App where people can learn a foreign language while traveling through a series of virtual worlds from the comfort of their smartphone or tablet. A core part of Bradford’s career was as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Novell, Inc. (NASDAQ: NOVL), from 1985-2000, where he helped lead the networking juggernaut through a series of acquisitions, public offerings and business development activities. During his time at the networking juggernaut, the company grew from $70 million in annual revenue to over $2 billion.
He currently serves on the executive committee and board of trustees of the Utah Technology Council and as a senior advisor to the Women’s Technology Council of Utah. David twice served as Chairman of the Board of the Business Software Alliance, the world’s leading industry trade association for the IT Industry.
He has received multiple awards and designations including being 2010 Utah Executive and Trustee of the Year award and the 1997 Alumnus of the Year for the BYU Law School . He was also featured in the PBS Special, Nerds 2.0.1, A Brief History of the Internet. Bradford graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.A. in Political Science in 1974 and his Juris Doctor in 1977 He received his Masters of Business Administration from Pepperdine University in 1983.
