Taking the first steps to start an internal or IT audit can be a daunting process, but the professionals at Piercy, Bowler, Taylor and Kern (PBTK), a local full-service accounting firm, can help.
PBTK will cover all three phases of internal and IT auditing (Pre-Audit, Fieldwork and Reporting) in a three-part series of seminars for both experienced and new internal and IT auditors, as well as others who have an interest in or responsibility for an organization’s risks and controls. The first seminar will focus on techniques for identifying an organization’s risk universe and various methods in ranking those risks.
Speakers will include Tom Green, MBA, CIA and Sam Belnap, CISA, MCSE, CNE, and A+. Green has been performing internal audits for over 17 years and has been the chief internal auditor for a publicly traded company, among other internal audit positions. Belnap focuses specifically on IT audits and IT-related risk assessments. His experience crosses in public, private and reservation-based companies.
