Chad Hymas | Keynote Speaker
In 2001, at the age of 27, Chad's life changed in an instant when a 2,000-pound bale of hay shattered his neck leaving him a quadriplegic. But Chad's dreams were not paralyzed that day- he became an example of what is possible.
Chad inspires, motivate, and moves audiences, creating an experience that touches hearts for a lifetime. He is one of the youngest ever to receive the council of Peers Award for Excellence (CPAE) and to be inducted into the prestigious National Speakers Hall of Fame. Chad is a best selling author, president of his own company, Chad Hymas Communications, Inc., and is a recognized world-class wheelchair athlete. In 2003, Chad set a world record by wheeling his chair from Salt Lake City to Las Vegas (513 miles). Chad's speaking career in the areas of leadership, team building, customer service, and mastering change has brought him multiple honors. He is the past president of the National Speakers Association Utah Chapter and a member of the exclusive elite Speakers Roundtable (one of twenty of the world's top speakers).
Lynda Jeppesen | Sr. V.P., Human Resources, Larry H. Miller Management Co.
After owning a management consulting business for 10 years and working in teh health insurance industry for 17 years, Lynda F Jeppesen became senior VP of Human Resources for the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies. For 13 years, she has overseen employee benefits, employee relations, and strategic policies for the Miller operations in over 40 states. The Miller Group employs 10,0000 full and part time employees, is the 10th largest privately help auto dealer group oin the country, own and operates Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah Jazz, Salt Lake Bees, Miller Motor Sports Park, KJZZ television, KFAN radio, Megaplex Theaters, Fanzz retail apparel and sports stores, insurance and financing companies. Lynda has designed and implemeneted a group wellness initiative with a focus on improving health and reducing medical claims costs.
A University of Utah graduate, Jeppesen also earned an MBA from Westminster College. She published "Sales Service Success" in 1996. In 2004, she earned a Senior Professional in Human Resource designation and in 2005 received the LHM Management Excellence Award. Jeppesen served on the Murray City Civil Service Commission and is a former president of the Utah Chapter of the American Society of Training and Development (1996). Lynda is an authorized partner of Everything DiSC, a Wiley Brand and The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team. Lynda was also named one of the 30 Women to Watch in Utah Business.
Lynda is a life-long learner who enjoys reading, traveling and learning about other cultures. She is interested and active in various sports and health-related issues. Along with her husband, Lynda resides in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Lance Allred | First legally deaf player in the NBA and best selling author
Lance Allred is more than a best selling author, speaker, or the first legally deaf player in NBA history: He is a Thought Leader who compels those around them to examine their own thought patterns and seek ways to overcome setbacks and pursue their own dreams. On October 2nd, he will present his keynote, "Elusive Leader," where he will be drawing from his world of experience across the continents, being the team captain on most of his teams, sharing his "7 Marks of a Leader." Lance will give you a new lens to old discussions and outdated thoughts about what makes a leader, and will help you get the most out of your team as their leader.
Cydni Tetro | Technology Entrepreneur and 3D Printing Expert
Cydni is CEO & founder at 3DplusMe a SaaS platform for retail personalization leveraging 3D printing. She is also an Operating Partner at Mercato, a growth and private equity firm, and faculty for the Goldman Sachs 10k small business initiative nationally and locally.
Prior to 3DplusMe, she spent 4 years working as an entrepreneur in Residence with Disney Resarch & Imagineering on Technology Commercialization. She has worked with over 200 companies building their growth and customer acquisition strategies with a strong emphasis on companies in the mobile, social, digital media and SaaS space. Prior to that, she was the COO for FamilyLIink.com, a platform on Facebook that grew to over 80 million users with 26 million monthly active users, it was acquired by Ancestory.com. Before that, she was the Chief Marketing & Product Officer for NextPage, an enterprise search company, which was sold to Proofpoint and Fast Search & Transfer.
Tetro co-founded and serves as the President for the Women Tech Council which has over 4000 member and she also sits on the board of a number of companies.
Cydni holds a master's degree in business administration and a bachelor's in computer science from Brigham Young University.
Vikki Carrel | Founder/President of Vikki Carrel and Co.
Vikki is the president of Vikki Carrel and Company, the creator of The Empowerment Project, author of Switching Lanes, co-author of Chloe's Closet, and has recently written Puzzle Pieces. Vikkis is also a frequent contributor to several online publications. While living back East, she co-founded Two Balance, Inc. and Mother Daughter America - a national movement to re-connect mothers and daughters.
Vikki has conducted seminars across the United States in both the private and public sectors for well-known companies and organizations which include Verizon, eWomen Network, Capital Health System, Temple University, Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania, Girl Scouts of Utah, America First Credit Union, The National Junior League, and Women's Council of Realtors, and she is a frequent contributor on regional and national television.
Prior to the development of Two Balance, Inc. Vikki was the co-owner of a Texas-based fashion production company. She worked in the fashion industry for fifteen years producing events for the likes of Olivia Newton John, GQ Magazine, and designers Steve Fabrikant and Ralph Lauren.
VIkki holds a degree in business administration/marketing. She and her husband have two grown sons, and live in the heart of the Utah Rock Mountains.
